What is Noh?

Noh is a traditional form of performing arts with over 650 years of history. It has been proclaimed the “Masterpiece of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity” by UNESCO in 2001, and is an important cultural asset to Japan.

Noboru Sano, Noh actor of the Hosho school will be hosting workshops to introduce the world of Noh. Guests are invited to join him at the Noh studio in Suidobashi, where you will watch a performance of Noh, learn the basic movements and enjoy a photo session wearing a crested kimono and hakama. Don’t miss out on this special opportunity to experience the mystic world of Noh.

CAPACITY:
– 10 people per workshop, reservations on a first-come, first-serve basis.
