Summer 2019 Yoyogi Park Events, Tokyo – Weekend Festivals and Events

Here is an updated list in English on the 2019 Yoyogi Park Events. There are presently over  13 events planned for this summer and more coming in the autumn. Almost every weekend you can head to Yoyogi Park to meet, learn, shop, eat and drink. While you`re there try Biking in Yoyogi Park – Bike Rentals from Tricycles to Tandems; Feed, Brush, and Ride Yoyogi Park Ponies, or play at the Mud Park. Don`t forget to apply sunscreen and dress your children in sun hats, UV cut clothes and sunglasses to prevent skin damage.  Laugh, Learn and Live!

MAY

11th & 12th: Thai Festival
One of the more popular annual events at Yoyogi Park. Yoyogi Park Event Space

18th–19th: Okinawa Matsuri 2019
Okinawa themed festival with performances and food.

25th – 26th:  Laos Festival
The largest Laos festival in Japan, featuring Laotian food, music and markets. They will also have a kids booth with games and crafts.

25th – 26th: The Caribbean Latin America Festival 2019
Learn about Caribbean and Latin culture while dancing to Reggae & Salsa, and enjoy the food and performances.

JUNE


1st – 2nd: Eco Life Festival 2019
The goal of the fair is to help families understand their daily impact on the environment and learn tips on how to reduce their carbon footprint.

8th – 9th: Vietnam Festival 2019
Japan’s largest Vietnamese event held in Yoyogi Park. Eat, drink and learn all about Vietnam.

12th – 16th: Oedo Waen 2019 Soba and Sake Festival
The 5-day event celebrates the traditional Japanese buckwheat noodle, Soba with over 100 kinds of Sake from every region of the country.

22nd – 23rd: World Gourmet & Music Festival
The World Gourmet and Music Festival, organized by the music company BMI, combines food and music from around the world at this two day festival. Enjoy new food and new music at Yoyogi Park.

22nd – 23rd: Salsa Street 2019
Salsa Street will have a delicious mixture of Food, Music, and Salsa dancing with the Caribbean/ Latin America Cultures.

JULY

6th–7th: Ocean Peoples
A festival for all who love the ocean. Enjoy food from the ocean, music inspired by the ocean and learn about ecological challenges in the oceans.

27–29: Taiwan Festa 2019
Taiwanese festival featuring delicious Taiwanese dishes such as bubble tea, pineapple cake, noodles and dim sum.

AUGUST

3rd – 4th: Sri Lanka Festival
Enjoy Sri Lankan style food, music, dancing, shopping & even ayurveda and yoga.
