Tokyo Dessert Cooking Classes (Minami Azabu) – January – April 2018

Best Living Japan is excited to tie-up with three great dessert teachers to offer seven delicious Tokyo Dessert Cooking Classes. Seven weeks of classes will be offered from January – April 2018 from 9:30 – 12:30 *with the exception of Thursday, February 8th which will be held from 13:00 – 15:30.  To sign-up, please choose 1, 2, 4 or all seven classes to attend. Menus for each week’s lesson are below. Learn cook and decorate desserts to be the best dessert baring parent at the PTA and birthday party. Seven different types of desserts will be taught so choose your families favorites and learn to recreate these delectables in your home with ingredients that can easily be sourced in Japan. Tokyo Dessert Cooking Classes (Tokyo, Minami Azabu) – January – April 2018

The Best Living Japan Tokyo Dessert Cooking Classes will be offered mornings  from mid-January – mid-April, 2018 *with the exception of February 8th which will be held Thursday afternoon. 

1. Sign-up for 1, 2, 4 or all seven (choose from seven classes offered); 1 class is 8,500 JPY, 2 classes for 14,000 JPY (7,000 JPY per class),  4 classes for 26,000 JPY (6,500 per class)  and all 7 classes for 42,000 JPY (6,000 per class) We may have space for out-of-town guest who can attend for 7,500 JPY per class (must be confirmed prior to attending). Consumption tax (8%) + PayPal fee added at checkout.

2. Each class usually is 2.5 hours and you will learn, do and take home some delectables. 

3. The maximum number of students in each class is 10.

4. A great opportunity to meet new friends cooking and enjoy a relaxing with dessert at the end of each class.

Classes are offered in the same building as the Best Living Japan K.K. offices in Minami Azabu.  To register for a class click this link to complete a sign-up form and chose the number of classes and actual classes you would like to attend. The Delicious Art of Cookie Decorating – Valentine’s Day (Silviya Schimenti, Instructor)
Creating elegant, delicious and professional-looking sugar cookies is not out of your reach! Learn the tricks of the trade and the secrets behind making delectable cookie dough, rolling it to the perfect thickness, creating the ideal consistency of royal icing, and of course, decorating cookies. During our February class, we will learn about wet on wet techniques, brush embroidery and layering colors.  Each participant will decorate and bring home 8-10 cookies.

Learn how to make pies just like your grandmother used to. The flavor and color and scent takes you right into your kitchen back home.

The Delicious Art of Cookie Decorating – Spring Special (Silviya Schimenti, Instructor)

Creating elegant, delicious and professional-looking sugar cookies is not out of your reach!  Learn how to bake the perfect sugar cookie and create beautiful spring designs. Recipes and ready-to-decorate cookies will be provided. Each participant will bring home 8  to 10 medium-sized cookies We will cover basic techniques–outlining, flooding, wet-on-wet designs, and layering, as well as a few advanced techniques–royal icing transfers, stenciling, etc.

Best Living Japan Course Payment and Cancellation Policy

Cooking class registrations must be received with full payment at the time of registration.  We are sorry, but we cannot accept registrations without full payment.  

No refunds are offered on Best Living Japan courses once the course has begun. Students may cancel two weeks before the start of the course and receive a full refund minus payment/transfer funds. If a student can not attend a class, then they may send a replacement (friend or family) in place of themselves.

Refund Exception: If Best Living Japan has to reschedule or cancel a class, we will contact you directly by phone or email to offer a full refund.  Under all circumstances, we will do our best to transfer you to another day or similar class.
