TOKYO TOURS

Join a Best Living Japan tour to learn about Tokyo and surrounding areas. One Tokyo overview seminar and three day tours will be offered between September – November 2018.  Both the seminar and tours are lead by the lovely and licensed tour guide Ms. Haruko Saruwatari.  You are sure to end the session filled with great knowledge about your new hometown.  Tokyo Tours vary in price between 5,000 to 7,500 JPY + 8% JP consumption tax.  Please note tours do not include transport or food/beverage. Tokyo Tour 1: FOOD & KITCHEN SHOPPING DAY

Start the day visiting Tsukiji market to find the best fish, fruits &
veggies and cooking items for your family feasts. Then head to Ginza to
visit famous Japanese department store grocery floors (Depachika). On the way to
Ginza you will learn how to buy single-act Kabuki theater tickets for future
visitors. The second half of the tour will be focused on Kappabashi (Kitchen town)
where you can stock-up on value kitchen utensils and pots and pans for your new
homes. Haruko will end the tour in Kappabashi where you can enjoy a late lunch
with your new friends. Start location is the Tsukiji Honganji Temple, a landmark of the district and never missed with its impressive Indian style architecture (Tsukiji Station on the Hibiya Line). The FOOD & KITCHEN SHOPPING DAY is 5,000 JPY + 8% JP consumption tax for the tour, all transport and food is self-pay.

Tokyo Tour 2: TOKYO HISTORY DAY

Visit three of the most historical areas of Tokyo -Asakusa, Ueno and Yanaka.
Haruko will provide an overview of religion in Japan by visiting both Budhist
Temples and Shinto Shrines. Learn about pre and post war development of these
three neighborhoods.  Haruko will end the tour in Yanaka where you can enjoy a
late lunch with your new friends.  Start location is Ebisu Station on the Hibiya
Line at 9:00. The TOKYO HISTORY DAY is 5,000 JPY + 8% JP consumption tax for the tour, all transport and food is self-pay.

Kamakura BuddhaTUES. November 27th

Tokyo Tour 3: KAMAKURA DAY
Enjoy the late autumn weather in beautiful and historical Kitakamakura. Start
at 8:30 at Shinagawa Station traveling to Kitakamakura via train. Haruko will take
you to visit Engakuji temple, Genjiyama Park and Zeniarai Benten. After a lot of
brisk walking we will head to the Kamakura area and have lunch at a restaurant
(pay for yourself). After lunch we will visit Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine and
end the tour at Komachi shopping street at 15:00 in Kamakura. Return trip takes
approximately 45 mins to Shinagawa or Shibuya.  The KITAKAMAKURA DAY is
7,500 JPY + 8% JP consumption tax for the tour, all transport and food is self-pay.

Her curiosity towards different cultures and Japanese tradition led her to become a licensed guide. She provides guided tours to English speaking travelers and provides support to foreign businesses entering Japan market.
